Get Messy | Season of Dreams | Week 6

Well another Get Messy season is over – how does the time go by so quickly?

This week I went with a galaxy theme – almost everything I painted ended up with a galaxy in it somehow, but they are so fun to paint and look so dreamy.

The left hand page is my take on Katie’s superimposed image tutorial from last week – sort of. It is also almost a direct copy of thisΒ image from pinterest. I haven’t done that in ages, but I was in love with the composition so just decided to go with it. The right hand page is a result of the Totems class by Vanessa. One of my spirit animals is a deer – they are so graceful and gentle, and innocent – they represent my inner-child to me. The page also represents some changes that are happening to me and my family at the moment.

This next spread I made as watched the Facebook Live session with Julia. I couldn’t watch the session live due to crazy world time differences, but watched it back that night. I was inspired by the ink discussion, even though I already use ink a lot in my art. I was also inspired by the prompt about surreal art scenes.

This last spread I made while watching Cait’s lessons on 21 Secrets latest course – Color Color Color. I loved going on a nature walk and selecting items, then mixing paints to match and also mixing neutrals and neons – definitely something I don’t usually do, but will definitely do again.

So that’s it for the Season of Dreams, unless I get inspired this coming week and whip up a few more pages to fill my journal. Any ideas on what the next season will be?
