Get Messy | Season of Dreams | Week 5

This week was my first week back at work after my surgery and I have been exhausted. I really didn’t think 8 weeks post-op I would still feel so tired, but anyway, a girl’s gotta work. I’ve also been working on a secret side project that I will tell you more about at a later date, but all of this means that I have only completed two spreads this week.

This first spread is a word association for the word DREAM. I don’t love the journaling on this spread, but I do like the background. You can’t win them all I guess.

Materials: Jo Sonja’s White Gesso, Liquitex Heavy Body Paint (Neutral Gray, Titanium White), Winsor & Newton Watercolour (Quinacridone Magenta), Liquitex Acrylic Ink (Carbon Black), Uniball Vision Elite Black Pen, Ephemera.

For my second spread I used a combination of the two watercolour and ink tutorials by Essie and Vanessa from earlier in the season and created this floral wonderland. It started out as blobs of colour and slowly transformed into a floral bouquet. Have I told you lately how much I love watercolours?

And that is almost another season finished. How on earth does the time go so fast? See you back here for my last Season of Dreams post.

Tanyalee, these are breathtaking! I can’t stop marvelling on how you manage to make each an every page feel so airy and weightless! <3
