Get Messy | Season of Words | Week 5

Week 5 already. This season has been so inspiring for me. It’s made me think about a lot of things. I love working in my altered book so much I think I might do it again.

My first page is made with random magazine cut outs, pressed flowers and random ephemera. It contains a message from an old boss from earlier this year when I was applying for my government job. I need to remind myself of this message from time to time.

This page started with the scripting and just grew. I added my One Little Words from the last two years and then another word cropped up that I’m pretty sure will be my word for 2016. The water colour just tied it all together.
I kind of followed a prompt with this page. Random words that form a quote or message to myself. Kind of. And doodling on a magazine cut out – because why not?
And last but not least a collage using one colour. This was fun. And I’m pretty sure I’ll do it again.
I’m finding that my pages vary in style quite a lot, but there is still a theme of sorts that ties them all together. I can see a change in my art and I only have Get Messy Art Journalling project to thank for it. Thanks for creating such a welcoming and inspiring group. Well it’s more than a group – it’s a community – a family even. I love all of you Mooses!
