Get Messy | The Season of Love – Week 2

Week 2 of the Season of Love with the Get Messy Art Journal group. I promised myself I would attempt all of the prompts. But I just ran out of time. Never mind. I am happy enough with what I did get done so it’s time to share.

This is my list of 100 things I love – well I didn’t actually count them and I doubt there is actually 100 but I filled the page so that’s close enough. It was pretty much a brain dump – and my writing got pretty messy.

I also stitched. If you know me at all you will know I do not sew. I hate it. But I embraced it!

Next is a poem by E. E. Cummings that I have transcribed. I filled the space with lines painted with gouache and a picture from a magazine – my go-to page filler.

My last page this week doesn’t necessarily follow a prompt but it is still following the theme – love.

I love your sewn heart and your clean, powerful style. Very effective. I too have found myself coming up with pages that don’t necessarily follow the prompts but are inspired by the general topics. Great work!
