Get Messy | Let’s Party

So its Thursday and today I am posting my response to the monthly Get Messy prompt.

Prompt #1: Let’s have a party! (created by Lauren)

Art Challenge: Plan a fun party! Create a collage detailing what your party will be like. Include food, drinks, décor, lighting, color scheme, dress code, place settings, location, guests, etc. Plan until your hearts content! There is no money limit or restrictions. Use your photos, magazines, art supplies, etc to create a collage, mood board or anything you would use to give to a party planner to convey your artistic direction for the event.

So here is my take on it.

Get Messy - Lets Party

Get Messy – Lets Party

It’s floral, it has cute furry animals, there is fabric and collage, there is washi and there are mists – I’m still new at misting so its a little heavy handed, but that’s OK.

I love how quick and easy art journalling is. And that there are no rules – it can be whatever you want it to be.

It’s the first time I’ve actually used it. I have always admired from afar.
